In Memoriam: Colin Black

Colin Black first appeared on the same gender loving (SGL: bisexual or gay) pornographic scene in 2012 and since that time has been one of my "all time favorites" because he, like myself, proved himself to be a versatile bottom-man! I make no issue as publicly identifying myself as an open and proud SGL bottom-man and I admire and respect this trait in others. Colin Black gladly receives his partner's generous erection but - if need be - has no problem in being the top-man for his willing accomplice!

Another aspect of Colin Black that I hold admirable and appreciate is his commitment and dedication to preserving his body hair (both armpit and pubic)! His body hair is sparse (no anal or chest hair) and despite this physical reality, he wastes no time attempting to conceal or otherwise remove his natural masculine appearance when many others needlessly follow popular trends to eliminate this sexually appealing attribute. He did periodically trim (groom) the length of his pubic hair but he didn't shave it! He is indeed a man who enjoyed being exactly what he was - a handsome and sexy man who prefers the same!

"Nudity quickly becomes unremarkable when generally practiced."
~Colin Black~

Early in his professional life, Colin honestly and readily attributed his fascination in a gay pornography career as based on his personal pride in being a black gay man who was confident with his nudity. He felt no remorse or shame in being either black, being gay or being a practicing nudist. He believed that performing in gay pornography he could serve as a role model for others as well as representing his self-identified community for those questioning their own lives or those who share similar interests.

Throughout his professional career, in interview after interview, Mr. Black repeatedly expressed his pride in his limited amount of body hair. He frequently posed with his arms raised so that he could display his armpit hair. He constantly rejected any encouragement to depilate (remove) either his underarm hair or his pubic hair. He did admit that he occasionally "trimmed" his pubic hair but had no interest in altering his axillary (armpit) hair. He personally preferred that to remain totally natural.

During one of his final interviews, he admitted that he once shaved both his armpit and pubic hair. It was at the time of his high school graduation. A negative encounter with an anonymous sexual partner made him vow to never repeat that mistake. His buttocks and chest are naturally hairless.

During the same interview, he confessed to fantasizing about an enlarged erection. He enthusiastically acknowledged his proudest physical anatomical achievement as being his buttocks!

In 2013, Colin Black was announced as the 2012 recipient of the Hookie Award as the Best Boyfriend Fantasy.

"Body shame, like prejudice, is not natural. It is learned from others and benefits no one."
~ Colin Black ~

Colin Black's pornographic career lasted until late 2015. His growing recognition and success in the industry was accompanied by an addictive substance dependency and depression. He quit the porn business to rehabilitate himself and begin treatment to recover from depression.

It was during his recovery treatment that he was diagnosed with terminal (Stage 4) cancer. Colin Black died on April 22, 2016, at 32 years of age.

The rumors began almost immediately when Colin Black that the cause of death was HIV/AIDS. Despite all the information and progress in the treatment of HIV, it is still unsettling that the myth of being same gender loving (bisexual or gay) and this disease still surfaces.

May he rest in peace.
