October: Our History Month!

 

The month of October, annually, is GLBTQ+ History/Herstory Month!

Equality Forum maintains the website for GLBTQ+ History Month. Featured are same gender loving achievers selected to be honoured for this year.  Every day of the month offers a different individual accomplished person.

GLBTQ+ History Month.

The USA observance was founded in 1994 by a Missouri high-school history teacher named Rodney Wilson. His intent was to provide role-models, build community and offer a civil rights statement of the achievement and efforts of the GLBTQ+ community and culture. 

The GLBTQ+ History Month website was created by Equality Forum in 2006.
